The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Location
This is the obvious, south-facing open book on the south side of Saddle Rocks, uphill of the walkoff/approach to "Boom Boom Room." and below and to the left of "Flakes Can Collapse." Descent is to the west.
FA unknown but we did this 12/95 and found an old rusted fixed pin near top which we cleaned.
