My first video attempt.

A redpoint ascent on Spock's Brain (5.11a trad) on the East Face of Seneca Rocks. I'm hoping to get more into this medium and improve from here.

Any lessons learned out there when it comes to making a descent climbing video? How about getting usable footage from a helmet cam?

Cool! My advice would be to stick with making ascent videos. =P

Seriously though - I have very little experience, but seems to me the hardest part is to look at your edit from an outsider's vantage. Do things make sense given no outside knowledge?
Related, I can never seem to cut out enough fluff - I end up attached to stuff that adds no real value!

I would say to try to get a better angle next time showing more of the crack... Its hard to see what he is climbing/placing gear in from your angle. Other than that pretty nice video.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
