I'll be in Boulder Oct 4-7th scouting locations for a brief intro to climbing and ropes management course for about 20 students. This is a non-certifying lesson that we teach on our way out to the Henry Mountains in UT from Indiana. We usually camp and climb at a site near Gross Resevoir but we're looking for new options this year. We want a place where we can work top-rope sites with potential for lead climbs and/or raps. We would love to find a site that has a drive-in backcountry camping option or something that is easily accesible with a trailer. We also would love to find an out of the way site so we're not over running a popular climbing area with 20 students. Any insight would be extremely helpful.

Given the patchwork nature of the land distribution near boulder any one of several government agencies will be in control of any given climbing area near Boulder. My suggestion would be to contact the Colorado Mountain School (800.836.4008) and pick their brain on areas.
They would also be able to give you info on where to go for permits and the like.
good luck

There's a PM coming your way with a possible suggestion.
