Description

Probably one of the better 5.9s at El Rito. The route starts on the the north end of the Pirate's Wall. After the mildly tricky start, continue up the arete, clipping bolts as you go. At top is an overhang, which appears trickier than it actually is, then the anchors above that.

Location

The far left (north) end of Pirate's wall, heading up the arete.

Protection

7 bolts to anchors.

Great climb! One of my favorite routes.

I put a new biner at the top of this one on 5/21/11. One of the fixed biners up there wouldn't open wide enough to allow a rope through, so I just left a new one up there.

Fun climbing but chossy. Footholds near the bottom are crumbling and big chunks of the route higher up look ready to fall off.
