Access Issue: Keeping climbs open depends on maintaining good relationships with locals and monks
Details
This climbing area is intertwined with monasteries and pagodas. It is critical for climbing in Myanmar to maintain these relationships through respectful conduct with the monks and the surrounding areas. Please be modest, respectful, friendly, and responsive to the wishes of the monks and local people. Do not climb on religious monuments, and remove shoes when crossing over established pagoda areas.
Description
Named after Steve Davis, this is the first wall with established sport routes in Myanmar. A tall vertical wall with 6 routes of mostly moderate difficulty. The wall is close to the road so be careful of speeding motorbikes and large trucks that occasionally pass. If the wall hasn't been climbed for some time the routes get a little dusty from the traffic, but they clean up pretty quickly.
NOTE: Many of the routes at Waterfall Hill are missing the hangers off of the first couple of bolts. You can either bring a couple of hangers and nuts for 3/8" bolts, or fashion a long stick clip once you arrive.

Getting There
From the Waterfall Hill Monastery, follow the road past a few small pagodas and the tea shop (on the left). Continue on the road past the massive Fire Wall (on your right) continue around the corner for another couple of hundred yards and you will reach Steve Wall. It is right on the road on the right side.
For Fire Wall, Monk's Life Wall, and Steve Wall, continue up the road. For Training Wall, go up the stairs across from the monastery.
