Description Suggest change

At 6,300ft Sapphire Pk is one of the crown jewels of Thompson Pass that towers above the HWY. To gain access to Sapphire PK requires a bit of alpine trickery. The 27 Mile Glacier basin is guarded by the the ever threatening and dissecting ice fall seen from the road and a cirque rim that is riddled with gendarmes and cornices.

Getting There Suggest change

The two main access points are to park at Ptarmigan Creek for the directissima route or the the Worthington Glacier State Park for the long way in.
