Sandinista slabs.

This is a nice little rhyolite sport crag in a rugged alpine setting. The crag is west facing and gets afternoon sun. Climbs range from 5.8 to 5.12 and are up to 90 feet tall. 12 draws, 60m rope.

Getting There

Drive past Eureka until you reach a large pullout on the right, above a gorge, directly across the valley from the Stairway to Heaven? ice climb. The crag is looker's left of Stairway?. Hike down the steep road embankment, cross the creek, and hike up an old grade that diagonals right toward the crag. 20 minutes.
