Description
Rock is flakey, watch your feet. Some climbs in the area are unstable & unexplored. Please be courteous of other trail goers, and aware of the homes above. To prevent this area from being marked as "off limits" in the future, please be discrete while climbing. As the Austin area continues to grow, please respect and act as a steward to this remaining piece of greenbelt. It's a popular area for people to explore, so you may find company.
Getting There
Updated 7/19/2017: Heading North from Austin take exit 29 and head west. Hang a right on D.B. Wood road and head down a few miles. Hang another right on Oak Ridge Rd. If you pass the dam you have gone too far.Head all the way down oak ridge road until it meets shepard and hang another right, then a quick left onto northcross. Go all the way down until you hit river road then turn left into the dead end and where the trail is. Park somewhere around here. Walk down the trail until you get to the dam. Dont cross over but instead turn left into the woods. The boulders is about 150 feet off of the trail. Pretty area, but the climbing is limited.
