This is the jug to layback route on the west side of the boulder. Always has lots of chalk, and generally people too. It is an anomaly for Woodson, in that it starts climbing out the "cave" via big jugs. After a full sit down rest in the middle, the crux comes at a layback for a reach move at the top. Do yourself a favor and hit El Cajon mountain. I really enjoyed multi-pitch face climbing on this mountain.

I just booked a trip to S.D. for February 18-24, 2011 and I'd like to do some climbing (limited--my wife's not into it). I see that there are some boulders in the area but I'd also like to do a bit of sport climbing and I'm not crazy enough to free solo. What with luggage limitations, I'll only have room for shoes, chalk, and maybe a harness. Is there a good climbing gym where I might find some people heading out to J-Tree or other crags? We'll be staying on Sail Bay. Thanks.
