New area being developed, to get to there you will need a decent amount of clearance so you don't get buried in the wash.
Head towards Salome, once there drive into the town, turn left and drive for about half a mile until you come up to a sign that says M & S hardwear, turn there and follow the road to the stop sign turn left at it, drive until you come upon a dirt road that says Indian springs on your right. Follow the signs until it turns into a wash, then keep driving for a while, after the cattle gaurd keep a lookout within the next half mile for a big left turn. Then follow that to the parking area. To get to the area with the sport climbs, contiue heading down the wash instead of turning left to the parking area. head straight until a big rock pile is on your left. turn in the little path to park
First off I have not sent this, This thing is wild! insane crimping and gastoning up a near vertical slab, I don't know what the definite crux is because it feels like the whole route is consistently hard! the first 2 moves are easy but spits you right into the hardest part for me. after the lip there's a hard dyno to a sidepull if you stick it you gai a no hands rest and can clip the chains. ...[more]Browse More Classics in AZ
I really wish I knew who bolted those routes, I've asked many long term locals but they do not know so I am assuming it was visiting climbers. ,It is a very nice un-known place with much potential for many forms of climbing. I am going out tomorrow to scope out some new walls and work on my new project and I will take some more pictures for the routes listed, There are quite a few routes I have not posted yet that I need to get around to doing. Also I am currently rebolting the two original routes because the bolts had rusted pretty bad. right now the bolts have been removed and shall be replaced as soon as possible. waiting for the hangers to ship. quite a few new lines are going up soon. being a highschooln student my money for bolting is quite sparse at the moment so progress is slow.
to Michael,The most I have been able to do was bolt the anchors to my new project, I was heading out with a friend to go scope out a new crag and rebolt the old climbs but my friend crashed his quad on the way out so we didn't get to go out that day since it was spent repairing the darn thing. However I will be back out hopefully this weekend to see what I kind do. just ordered a bunch of bolts and hangers too! so expect more in the near future.
Rad, okay. I'd like to get out there as well to scope out the possibilities, if that's okay. I know you said you just ordered some but like you said, you're a student, sometimes it's hard to come by. So whatever hardware I have, you could feel free to use as well.
