Planning on heading to the RRG today for 4 days of climbing, but the weather looks awful. I know that some walls stay dry in the rain, but the weather that's hitting the area looks like some next-level rain, thunderstorms, flooding, etc. Is there still any chance that we might be able to find some dry areas for climbing? I have a 2-wheel drive sedan, which doesn't help anything.
If you have a car like that, avoid the PMRP at all costs. Getting up that hill when it is dry can sometimes be a struggle, in the rain it would be game over.
Depends on what level you climb. First the roads to PMRM and MFRP are in rough shape after heave rain last week. The moderate climbs that stay dry will be lined up but if you are getting on 11s and up there is climbing to be had.
No problems getting to muir. Some routes will stay dry use the redriverclimbing guide to figure out what, stay away from bruise if you are not one of the first few cars in the lot plus the routes there are short anyways.
