So I live in CO, and my dad moved to TN. Then I got into climbing. In CO there are some great, great routes that an older first timer can do. Most likely I will have a 70m rope and only draws. Maybe I'll have a standard rack for trad a that time. Are there any good 5.6 sport or trad climbs like that in TN? No more than 2 pitches I would say at most.

Or do I have to fly him out here?

If you are near Nashville, King's Bluff is a solid choice. Lots of easy routes, 5.4 and up. Short approach, short climbs and you don't even need a guidebook as there are placards at the bottom of most routes. It can and will get crowded, but I regularly see older folks climbing there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
