So . . . it works! Sort of. Mountain Project on an e-ink screen is totally awesome. Can't wait to take it to Red Rock this weekend. I'll post a picture when I get the chance.
The nook is an Android 2.1 device, so thankfully this app only requires 1.6. Don't upgrade please! ;)
Unfortunately there's a problem when I expand any descriptions which would take up the entire screen of the device; they just disappear into thin air and i have to go out and then back into the area. I know it's probably not a device you guys want to support, but it's got a lot of potential - any ideas on how I could come up with a workaround for this? Maybe an older version of the app? Right now on some routes I can only see the comments.
EDIT: I found a decent workaround, Nook users rejoice! There's an app called LCD-Density, which changes the density of your screen. That gives the app more space, and it's worked on almost everything I've tried. The occasional super-long trad route still fails (Epinephrene didn't work, Solar Slab did). But it helps out a lot.
