Description

Romsdal is home to some of the most famous climbing areas in Norway such as Romdalshornet and Trollveggen (The Troll Wall). Romsdal has everything from sport climbs and long alpine mountaineering routes, to tons of ice and mixed climbs, and even big wall routes up to 78 pitches!
While you might be able to climb as early as march, it is advised to wait until at least June. In general, July and August are the best months to climb.

Getting There

Åndalsnes is the best place to stay while climbing in Åndalsnes. By car it is about 6 hours from Oslo, 10 hours from Bergen and 4 hours from Trondheim. You can also take the train directly to Åndalsnes Centre.
A car is highly recommended!
