Description 

This is the hammer -shaped formation just below the Kingfisher. We found it a bit tricky to get to the base. It's a cool looking spire and a cool summit.


Getting There 

Hike down the trail until you see the thing. I believe there is a way to just hike to the thing , but we had to rope up and do a short 5.10 section of climbing up a crack in a cliffband which blocked us from getting to the base.

5.7, A1, and 80 feet of climbing;...sound like an easy summit to tick? Guess again. We found this climb to NOT be an easy tick. We couldn't find an easy way to get to this tower, and it took a long time to get to the base, because we had to rope up, lead a 5.10 crack section, etc...and we still hadn't even reached the BASE of the climb!
