The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

When looking south from Castle Rock this is the first rock one sees and is easily identified by a prominent dike on the left side of the rock. Be warned that the rock is rather coarse here. Descent for all routes on this rock is via a bolted rap anchor.
