Road to Capulin, NM? Gate, snow, deadfall?

I'm checking to see if anyone has beta if the trailhead is accessible. Deadfall trees blocking the road are starting to become an issue, esp w/ recent wind events.
Should we start some sort of road-condition status report? (Maybe you facebook folks already are doing this, I don't know.) Thx.

Word on the street is as of yesterday (11/22) it's all clear out there now. But after the recent trees blowdown, I won't head out there without at least a good handsaw (chainsaw is better, of course) and a tow rope. Lots of dead trees still and it would suck to get stuck on the wrong side of the tree.

I drove up there on Sunday and there were no gates closed. It was snowing pretty good but there wasn't anything on the ground when I was there. I drove up from Albuquerque through Cochiti just to go for a drive and check out access. Things were looked good to go. I am not sure what the Ranger meant by the road being closed.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
