I live in winter park which means I'm about 2 hours from the estes park entrance to the park but only about 35 minutes from the grand lake entrance. I know most, if not all, of the ultra-classic routes are easier accessed from estes and a climber could easily spend an entire season just ticking off routes in glacier gorge. that said, it'd be nice to put together a ticklist of routes in the park that are a little bit closer to home and require a little bit less driving time.
I'm mostly looking for rock but if someone has any recommendations for ice, or snow climbs/mountaineering routes I can keep them in mind for winter.
Aiguille du fleur and Ptarmigan Towers are probably the main ones on the west side in the park.
In the IPW there is the S. Buttress on Hiamovi and then Lone Eagle and Mt. Achonee. There is a lifetime of climbing in the Lone Eagle cirque for those willing to forgo guide books and be adventurous.
