Mike Williams on the finishing moves of Rise and D...

Description

Mostly awkward movement up vertical to slightly overhanging plates, some of which are hollow. Moves distinctly right after the 2nd bolt onto vertical terrain and a shared juggy finish with Dismembered.

Rated 5.10a/b in the guidebook but it seems just a little harder than that.

Location

Left side of the east face and left of Dismembered.

Protection

4 bolts, chain anchors (shares the last bolt and anchors with Dismembered).

Others found this to be a little more difficult than "Dismembered"5.10 b/c just to the right of it. I felt it to be easier.

both pretty cool routes and WORTH doing...

I think this one is a bit easier in overall difficulty, but much more sustained than Dismembered. Great climb!

Real Fun climb! Has good holds all the way up, but they take some power to reach.

A hold broke off in the middle of the climb between the 2nd and 3rd bolt. I would say it goes at .10c now. You can see where the hold broke off - big dirty spot on the rock face.

I think 10b is fair. 10c? Nope. I thrash on C's generally and got up this just fine. Go do it! Big fun.
