I bought a pair of Mad Rock Sharks (yes, I know). Love the condom-like sensetivity and the vacuum-suction fit. Hate the rubber. When the resole time comes, is it possible to have them resoled with either Vibram XS Grip (the 3.5 or 4 mm one) or 5.10 Stealth C4?
PS. Dear Mad Rock, you would probably sell more shoes if you used real rubber! All of that awesome innovation on the fit and tension is a waste without friction!
It's kind of funny to me, when mad rock entered the scene a decade+ ago, their rubber was thought to be the highest friction. I'm pretty sure I even had a pair of sportivas resoled with it.
I understand it's gone through a few iterations, perhaps to make it more durable at the expense of friction. I liked the 1st gen stuff, but my experience with mad rock recently for rock shoes was not good.
Overall having had the same shoes resoled with mad rock, 5.10 and then back to vibram, I don't think any rubber is really that different overall, aside from some temp specific issues.

My recollection is that many years ago they had crap rubber for their entry level shoes, and some really good compound for the performance shoes. I also have a pair of shoes that were resoled with MR rubber (quite a few years ago), and they work really well.
Really, I'm done with measurabating rubber, but I'm always curious what the experts think because I'm sure there is some minute difference, just like with car. Unfortunately, I really don't climb hard enough for it to matter, just like most people never really put their tires to the limits too often.
