Just thought I'd give you FlameThrowers another outlet.
Really, I'm sick of getting emails that my "'Friends' at Mountain Project have responded to the Shoplifting At Neptunes" thread.
Feel free to act like children and throw sand in eachother's eyes all you want:

DEATH TO REI!!!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness though, people just need to care less. So REI is the Walmart of the outdoor sporting world. BFD.

When did this shift to hating REI happen? I had always thought the climbing community loved REI.

Just making that comparison discredits the statement.

The climbing community loves to take advantage of REI.

I shop there a lot, they're currently my only local option, and I dont have any issues with the company. Sure, you have to sort through all kinds of unnecessary camp gadgets, but half the vans I see at any given destination are spewing over with that shit, so it appears a good portion of the climbing community shops there.

Wendy's is whatever. Taco bell can fuck straight off and die.

I'm still really confused how anybody could have beef with prodeals. COULD SOMEBODY HELP ME UNDERSTAND?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
