I quite enjoyed Birdland myself, but also think you missed a good climb by not going up Cookie Monster.

Good write up and photos Tom. Always good to see WI climbers getting after it outside of the Devil's Lake bubble.

I'm sure with it being in your backyard it is super easy to forget that its a world wide destination. And at this point my favorite place to climb.

I make sure that I stop in to Desert Rock Sports and put a crisp $50 in every time. It helps when I usually win it from the casino! At least they are helping to pay as well. I am super thankfull for all the volunteers who go out there and maintain the climbs so that us out of towners can come and enjoy it.

That was a great trip report. I appreciate you not dancing around Katie's difficulty with nerves and getting back into it. It is a good reminder to keep hammering away at it, that confidence comes and goes but you don't forget how to climb. I have prescribed reading it to my GF as a conditioner for our trip out in April.
