I'm heading to red rocks and it looks like some of the easier shaded routes require two 60 meter ropes.... but i only have a 50 metre and a 60 meter.

How much will this change my route choice... dark shadows for example?

I think some/most of those routes only "require" two 60m ropes if you skip anchors on the way back down...

It wont change your choices- I cant think of any moderates that have a true 60m length rappel requiring two 60m lines. On Dark Shadows, you can use an intermediate hanging station if youre not sure. John Wilder
