Sorry to be spamming up the board, but I'm having difficulty picking a shoe that works for me and I am very cagey about buying stuff online if free returns aren't an option... I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with the Red Chili Habanero Lace sizing. My shoe sizes for reference

  • Street shoe: USMen9, sometimes 9.5
  • La Sportiva Tarantulace: EU41, USMen8.5, USWomen9.5
  • 5.10 Siren: USWomen10, EU41.5, USMen9
  • Scarpa Instinct VS: EU42, USMen9, USWomen10
  • 5.10 Anasazi Moccasym: USMen9
  • Tenaya Ra: USMen9
  • Mad Rock M5: USMen9
  • 5.10 Anasazi VCS: USMen9

Hmmmm. This probably won't be very helpful since I don't have any directly comparable sizing to provide but here's another data point.

Red Chili Habanero: 45.5, aggressive fit, go on pretty easy with the heel pulls but toes are crammed.
Scarpa Mont Blanc: 47, 46's also fit but 47 gives room for thick socks and toe kicking while ice climbing.
Allen Edmonds: 12, dress shoes, snug
Merrel Ventilator GTX: 13, hikers

In a couple of days I'll get my 5.10 stonelands slippers and can post how those fit. Went with the 13 for a looser all-day fit but haven't been able to try them on yet.

The Habaneros don't stretch out at all. There's rubber over the toes so you can jam your feet into anything but they won't loosen up very much if they're tight.

Do let me know about the Stonelands, as I seem to recall I am a 9 in those as well. Thanks!
