I want to mount a pair of skis with an NTN (tele) plate and would love to hear what skis you love for all mountain shredding!!! Ripping hard turns, long turns, trees, racing, moguls, etc!!! I also race tele but favor mid-fat waist (90) as i live on the east coast not UT. I tried tele on GS race skis and they were not for me and a 100 waist seems a little reediculous for a typical east coast day. Hope to hear from y'all!!!

Important differentiation: are you talking front or backcountry?

Volkl Mantras have been one of the best do-all be-all skis I've had in a long time. I've got mine mounted with bomber bishops and they've been great regardless of conditions. Super nimble fun ski that doesn't have a speed limit.

Need a resort ski that can rip hard but stay decently nimble. I really just want to hear what people like to shred on, doesn't have to be tele. LETS HEAR YOUR FAVORITES!!!

I'd agree with suggesting the Mantra. I (alpine) ski the Aura (woman's version of the Mantra) for my front country ski and I've been really psyched with it. Nimble enough in the bumps or trees but beefy enough that high speeds won't bounce it around and with a 100mm waist, handles a moderate amount of fresh snow. It was the first ski I'd ever purchased blindly (without demo-ing first) but had many great recommendations for it and have been very happy with it. An alternative suggestion would be the comparable ski from Blizzard. IMO they are super apples to apples with Volkl. I'd suggest to look for something with an early rise tip. Even if you're never going to use it for touring, it'll engage the turn sooner which gives you a much more nimble, playful ski.

Also look into the Rossi Soul 7, La Sportiva Hi5, Dynastar Cham 97.

My daily ski is a Volkl Katana - a bit wider than the Mantra but also a bit more forgiving. Buuuut, my local ski area is Alta & Snowbird.

I've been using movement apple skis, from switzerland. Super light and springy because i go uphill a lot, but shred well with just a little bit of rocker. I had goodes before and they were fun and comfy but I broke one. I have a voile 3 pin hardwire binding which seems like best of both uphill and down hill in the backcountry.

I used to ski Volkl Mantra's in the front and backcountry and those things can rip in and outta bounds. They are pretty heavy though. Mine sadly de-laminated. Since then I've been skiing the Volkl Nanutaqs and couldn't be happier! Pretty fat, light, can rip in and outta bounds. I ski these with the frische freerides but have friends who ski them with dynafits and like the set up as well.
