Any suggestions for a place in/near Seattle for a climbing shoe re-sole? I'd rather not ship them to Boulder.
Thanks!

Dave Page Cobbler did a decent job on my Scarpa resoles with the new Vibram XS2 rubber. They held up well to gym climbing 2-3 days a week and weekend excursions on various types of rock through this past summer. Their resole rubber was much thicker than the original so it should last longer but I lost a little sensitivity. They can probably shave it down to the original thickness if you'd like

Dave Page in Fremont has done good work for me over the years. I would recommend him.

Dave Page - always worked for me.

I may have just been unlucky, but I am very unhappy with the resole that Dave Page did on my Mythos. Within a month of relatively light use the new rubber he applied has been peeling off, and one of the toes has already broken through where he supposedly replaced the rand.

On top of that he was very unfriendly to deal with in person. I've never tried Cascade Cobbler, but you could always send your shoes away to Rock and Resole or the Rubber Room.

Dave Page himself does great work, but it seems that with such a high volume of shoes to resole, they're often done by others that work for him...

As a long time customer of Ramuta's, I was bummed when they moved out to Montana, and decided to give Cascade Cobbler a shot: fuck yeah!!

He's a local (well, relatively as he does live in WA) and does excellent work. Very responsive on emails and both times a quick return. I highly recommend you giving him a shot: Cascadecobbler.com

I'd always been happy with Ramuta's resoles and would have recommended them wholeheartedly, except that they did a crappy job on the last pair I sent them this summer. When I got them back, the edges on the shoes were so thin and rounded it was as if I'd already worn them for 6 months. Boo.

Might give Cascadecobbler a shot next time.
