Description
The Ray of Light Spire can be accessed by walking up the traditional path to Sokehs Rock. The spire can be observed on the left upon reaching the top of the path. Access to the base of the spire is obvious and well cleared. All routes on the Ray of Light Spire are setup for single pitch sport climbing and are well protected with bolted hangers and dual double ringed top anchors for top rope or rappel. Top access to the cliff is possible through climbing a short route of grade 5.7 which has been bolted on the rear of the spire to provide the means to haul gear for bolting and rappel.
Getting There
Taxi from Kolonia (Skyline Taxi Company is cheapest and best bet) to Sokehs Island. Turn right after going over the bridge to Sokehs and drive about 7 minutes to...a small patch of banana trees next to a 1-car parking pull off (see picture of trailhead landmark). The trail is on the mountain side of the road and up the hill. Approach, approx 10-15 min. NOTE: This trail is on private land. Please get permission from landowners prior to hiking.
