Unfortunately there is a preservationist standpoint on some rocks in the national forest. Rocks with legal access are marked by small signs. Please respect the local laws to keep what is there open. An X with a circle around it, means climbing forbidden; an > with a circle around it, means climbing allowed.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.

The region is just getting explored by boulderers and many first ascents still await the knobbyhanded. The Rauchröhren am Kaitersberg consists of nine areas and over a hundred routes. Routes range from 5.4 ~ 5.14c (III ~ XI-).
Getting There Rauchröhren am Kaitersberg lies between Bad Kötzting and Lam. East of Cham, in Bad Koetzing, take Lamerstrasse toward Lam, and turn into Arrach, stay as far south as possible, by the forest until out of Arrach and on a paved forest road toward Eschlsaign, a small farm dorf. Park where the pavement ends in Eschlsaign and hike on labeled footpath no. A9 to the Rauchröhren and look out for the signs for Rauchröhren am Kaitersberg.
