Description

The most popular bouldering venue in the park. Most weekends you'll be able to hook up with a local or two sometime during the day.

There are many problems on the North and East faces of the rock. Some are named problems, most are eliminates. Best plan is to follow the chalk and use your imagination.

Getting There

Rat Rock is in the SW corner of the park near the 59th Street Columbus Circle station. The SW side of the rock is clearly seen as you approach it from the park entrance.
