Description

One of the first boulders, immediately left upon entering the Brickyard, fairly large and with a flat top. Can be seen from way up on the hillside. This is the boulder with the Great Shark Hunt (V?) traverse.

Not sure of the real name for this boulder, calling it the Rat boulder (after the rats nest in the jug) and fits with the other animal name theme of the area. Let me know if there's a different name.

Anyhow, this boulder is pretty sweet, and doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Getting There

Near the entrance of the Brickyard. Just uphill from the Ant boulder.

Start on obvious jug (with potential rat nest inside). Move up on good crimps to slopes and the top.I really like the movement on this one. Powerful lower moves to good balancy moves on slopers and a glory jug topout (don't get that too often 'round here!). One of my favorites at the Yard....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
