I'm looking for some fun rappels within an hour of Boulder or Lyons. Areas that we could hike to the rappel would be ideal. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Are you planning to climb to the rappel? Or do you want a walkup?

Thank you for your response. I'm looking for some fun walkup rappels.

Just some slight advice on established climbing routes. You'll probably not make many friends if you are using the route's anchors for rappelling when people are climbing in the area.

Careful around the tops of the cliffs!

That's a good point, Scott.

I also wouldn't want to add wear to existing hangers, and would build a dedicated anchor for the rappel.

Alamo rock or umbrella tree rock on Flagstaff Mtn. Just below the Crown Rock Parking area.

Thanks, Jim!
