DescriptionExceptionally abrasive gritstone - cracks are often studded inside with sharp little pebbles. Most notorious for some monster overhanging crack routes, but there is a wider variety of climbing than the crag's reputation might suggest. Faces east so a good morning venue, before moving on to the Roaches in the afternoon, assuming you still have some skin and energy left. Getting ThereLies close to the Leek-Buxton road (A53). Turn off on to a minor road, park and reach the first rocks in under 5 minutes. The rest of the crag straggles uphill from here, overlooking the main road.
