Description
The Rainbow River Wall is is comprised of group of fins of metamorphic rocks that have vertical bedding planes. The fins are either schist to left end and gneiss to the right side. The fins jut into the North Laramie River varying amounts leaving the ends with two arete climbs and often a steep slab on the north side. The climbs begin just above the water of the river on anchors. Although these climbs can be lead they may be more practical for top roping because of the hanging start. The cliff tapers from about 100' on the left to 35' on the right.
