I am going to Yosemite for the first time this coming week. It looks like there is a chance of rain later on in the week. Not having been before, what do y'all recommend to do on rainy days. If its a rest day we can just go hike but it we get rain on a day we want to climb is there anywhere that is still viable?
thanks in advance for your input.

Hey Tommy,

Depending on rain, it is possible to climb on a rainy day. Most of the time, the mornings are clear, with a mid-early afternoon shower, then it will clear up for the evening. If this is true for your stay, the rock dries quickly, albeit damp conditions may remain. Avoid obvious runoffs (although most of the cracks are water runoffs so finding one that isnt wet may be an issue) and you should be set. However, if it rains from morning to night, it depends on your willingness to get wet and have an adventure. I hope this helps.

Generator crack stays pretty dry , unless it's pouring . Other options for rainy days: nap , hang at the Mountain room and drink , drive up to Glacier Point, put your boots on splash in puddles , drive out to Oakhurst and eat at El Cid's ...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
