Radical Changes

Description

Mega Classic! Somewhat of a test piece for the grade. Climbs the obvious crack in the middle of the wall. Start at a small west facing corner then on to the smooth face above. Great crack/face climbing with the crux move just below a bulge.

Location

Middle of the Hallucinogen Wall

Protection

Cams/nuts and a few manky bolts/ Anchors up top.

Awesome route. Very sustained. In my opinion this is a harder lead than solitaire. And solitaire is rated 10a.

Sustained 5.9 route with a little of everything. The crack varies from fingers and hands up to offwidth which are fortunately only short sections. Nice face holds are helpful. Beautiful line and route.

Offset cams would work nicely here is you have them. Some bomber nut placement about ten feet up all the way to the anchors.
