I'm 6'3 180lbs and pretty broad shouldered. I'm trying to buy a midweight belay coat and after looking around I've settled on the rab generator.
One thing i've read is that the cut on these coats is bigger in the midsection than the shoulders than other coats. Is this true? My last coat was a mountian hardware compressor L and fit me great.
If the cut of the Generator is baggy in the midsection i'll probably go with the Arcteryx Atom SV
I have found that most RAB stuff fits a lot like MH (both companies that fit me really well. And I doubt the cut of this is actaully flaring. People probably are just saying this as the cut looks strait which would make sense for a piece that is designed to be on the outside of multiple layers.
Just so you know the Atom SV and that Generator are kinda different categories. The SV being a warmer layer piece and the Generator being a lighter belay jacket. Even though the basically share the same insulation the face fabrics make a big difference in use and more so in weight.
