Description

This is one hard pitch of ice! Overhanging for 50 feet. Extremely overhanging for the first 25 feet. Very thin line at the bottom. Very difficult crampon purchase. Very sustained. I've been told it does not come in every year and also told this was fatter than normal. Incredible line!

Location

13.3 miles in CO Highway 141 from Whitewater on the west side of the canyon. It is in the drainage right at the quarry. 1 mile before Divide Road.

Easily seen from the road, but a difficult approach of about 30 minutes. Steep, loose, icy.

Protection

Screws. Tree to anchor for belay/rappel.
