Hi my name is Luis Benet and im a climber and mountain guide here in Puerto Rico that started a new project called Puerto Rico Bolting Project with the focus in re bolting the old rusty routs and bolting new sport climbs and anchors with Titanium bolts.
The rock climbing in Puerto Rico is growing a lot in the past few year and this project will be key in making this island a safe and pleasant experience for locals and tourists that will be visiting in the future. I just created a non profit organization to be able to raise funds by donations, fund raises and t-shirt sales and would love any help that we can get from individuals and companies. We can use ur support in donations as well as work and ideas to get this project going.
I will be posting more of our progress when we stablish a web page, Facebook and instagram but for now let us know any ideas to get it going!

Hi Fyah,

Have you considered a Kickstarter campaign? and perhaps specify which crag(s) are the priority, including how many routes and bolts would be involved plus the estimated cost?

We were considering a trip to PR this December to climb, but due to lack of Ti bolts we will not be going. However, we'd be happy to contribute to the effort if a critical mass of money is raised and will be put directly to Ti rebolting at a high priority crag.

best of luck!
Sarah
