Details
Climbing is managed by the Belgian Alpine Club. You must have proper mountaineering insurance through a Climbing association such as the American Alpine Club. Climbing is also situated within a Nature preserve, so please be careful to not scrape lichens off the rock.
Description
Pucelles is one of many crags located in Rocher de Freyr. It is quite small. Mostly shaded. Rock is decent quality, but not superb. Offers short (50 feet) single pitch sport climbing from 5a to 7b. Descent is lowering off of quick links at the anchor.
Getting There
Park at an obvious turn out approximately a quarter of a Mile from the "Le Chamonix" Cafe and Main climbing parking lot. The turn out is on the West side of the road (side with river). If you pass Le Chamonix and are coming from Dinant, you have gone too far. From the turn out, a clear climbers trail should take you down hill towards Pucelles. At the first fork in the trail take a left. Proceed downhill for another 3-5mins and you will reach the crag.Total approach time is less than ten minutes.
