Access Issue: State Park - Fee Required. Details

Golden Gate Canyon is a State Park and a $10 (2021) fee is required for entrance. Cash/Check only accepted; Self serve kiosks exist throughout the park. Annual passes can be purchased for $60.

Description

Park at picnic area just (old barn knoll, I think) below The Bear, hike up the road for 7.5 minutes, and then straight up the mountain...to The Bear, I think that's what it is called. It's also known as Promontory Ridge...if anyone knows anything about this area I'd love to know of any development to avoid any isssues...no worries.

Getting There

I believe it's the middle of three cliffs up on the hill slightly before the Visitor's Center and Mt. Thoridin. It is due east of the Visitor Center/overlook.
