Description Suggest change

Lower section of the mountain.  5-6 pitches of wet ice, the last one involving a few min stroll to the base. A single 70m is sufficient as there are many bolted rap stations to aid in descending the route.  Finding the rap stations can be a bit tricky but they are there.

Getting There Suggest change

Winter access involves parking just past the Bow River Falls overlook in Banff.  Hike across the Spray river bridge on Golf Course Road for @45-60 mins, keeping right at any intersection.  At the Bow River Valley Trailhead kisok, follow the wide trail as it parallels the Bow River for @30-45mins to the first small clearing opposite the river.  From here its @ 5-10 walk up the open drainage to the base of the first pitch.  The golf course closure is due to winter wildlife corridor.
