I'm trying! Pizza for lunch probably didn't help though. I had celebrate coming back on one piece after getting stuck in the rain.

Bill, you got a free dry suit in good condition with undergarments? I bet you guys get pro deals on those. Don't spaz over your weight just eat less and drink water when you are hungry, most likely you are just thirsty. ...just saying...

Are you asking me for a suit and fleece onesy? Idk, I might get banned from MP for being nice to you. Haha.. Why a dry suit anyway? I like a 5mm wetsuit with a good pair of gloves, hood and gloves in saltwater that's above 45. You're not a boat anchor and you're warm. Even if we had an old suit i doubt you would want it. We do more diving in wastewater treatment plants than anything. The only deals we get are from buying from the same shop.

Nobody's worried about their fat ass here. Just talking shit and trying to be funny.

We are heading to Seattle for winter. I'm talking 40 ' s . My wetsuit is not gonna cut it. I would not want a toxic waste suit of course. Although if you can get your hands on one of the Vikings that the forensic police use I would totally dig it. A clean one of courpse. ;)

Vis is supposed to be for miles in Puget Sound. I would even fiddle with some ice diving there too! Psyched!!!!

I would look into White's for a dream suit.

Fiddling with ice diving? Thought we were having a conversation not trolling.

I am serious about ice diving. I think with our skills we can do it. Whites look kinda flimsy on the outside layer for barnicles. I am pretty rough on my gear especially in channels and surrounded by urchins. I heard good things about them though. We are also getting our advanced diver certs. Believe it or not we only have our open water PADI. It's all been experience for the past 2 years. Can't justify all the money you have to pay for it.
Back to the subject: all long trad slings get a locker or at least 2 non locking biners of your choice back to back on rope side. Nuf said.

leaving aside all the fun stuff above

i re-connected with another climber from a few years ago ...

recently he took a fall where the rope on the last piece unclipped from the cam ...

as it was a diagonal traverse he fell down then swung to the side ... he ended up flipping upside down scrapping his head and tweaking his ankle on a 40 foot whipper on moderate ground

hes luckly to walk away

he said its the first time its ever happened to him in decades of climbing

i personally feel that the rope/sling coming out of the biner, while uncommon, is not unknown ... with lower angle cracks where the biner can get fixed inside or bump against the sides, i suspect that it happens more than most folks here think

ill see if i can take a few pics the next few days of possible scenarios
