Prescott Climber’s Coalition Meeting

February 16, 2015

Meeting called to order by Mac McCaleb at 6:45 pm.

Business:

· Membership Drive – A $20 membership fee was proposed by Mac and approved by attending members. Members present suggested other options and ideas for increasing awareness of the Coalition within the climber community.

· Officer Elections – Mac shared some the positions available to fill within the Coalition. The candidate sign up was postponed to the next meeting to allow for more member participation.

· Discussion of Access Concerns – Mac shared ideas on how to build rapport within the community, Prescott National Forest, City of Prescott, and landowners. This discussion will be ongoing.

· Social Events – Member ideas were welcomed for fund raising, site maintenance, competitions, and just climbing fun. Discussion included ideas for a bouldering comp, 24 hour climbing event, etc.

· The next meeting was set for Tuesday, March 24th, at 6:00 pm. Meeting will be hosted again by The Hike Shack and Amanda Lane.
