Warning Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Just left of Episcopalian Toothpick is this delicate and technical arete.

The original start is in a small crack that gives access to the arete proper - 4 bolts if done this way and a little spicy.

A newer, better protected variation starts left of the thin crack and climbs past 7 bolts with no additional gear needed.

  • Short but memorable, this is a good one to do after warming up on Episcopalian Toothpick.

Location Suggest change

Located on the Theoretical Boulders, a large block split into halves by a deep chimney, which lies left (north) of the main Saddle Rocks.

Protection Suggest change

7 bolts, anchors (all 3/8"), small pro to 0.5"
