Pottenstein is an amazingly gemutlich little town to base camp in for a climbing trip to the Frankenjura. And one of the best cliffs in the area is Pottenstein Wall (Pottensteiner Wand), a 40 meter cliff of stellar (and tough) routes right in the middle of town! We are talking a one minute approach.
The crag is north-facing.

Getting There Suggest change

From Norma, walk down the main street towards the center of town and take a left at the next right curve to follow the red cross hiker's trail. Follow this about 100m to the Tucherstuben on the right side of the street. The cliff looms overhead.
