Description Suggest change

Pothole Rock is located across the gully from Rifle Arch to the east. There are two bolted routes that share the same chains. There is a southern exposure, so climbing is good here most of the year. It can get a little hot on the hike in during the summer months.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive north of Rifle on CO Hwy 13 to Meeker. Park at the pullout for the trail on BLM land to the Rifle Arch. Follow the trail to the Arch then cross the gully to the east to reach the bottom of the face.

The trail in is approximately 2 km to the arch then another 400 meters across the gully.
