Description Classic Gunks: Hit a roof, layback a seam, long reach through crux.
Location Start right of Flapjack under a low, small roof with seam on right side of face over roof. Go up to roof, traverse right to seam, follow seam up to left side of higher roof, climb slightly bulging face to top. Easy walkoff.
Protection Adequate. Gear only anchor.

| Tried the roof on this a couple times top roping but our anchor was too far right and the swing too sharp for my tastes. Maybe 5.4 climbing to the roof, nothing special. I've done some pretty tough roofs but only when the rope actually goes over them. Maybe I'll set the anchor directly over it sometime and finish. Or maybe spend that time climbing a better route here. |
