Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

This is a sunny area that is a "short" scramble up some boulders that are a few hundred yards off the dirt road. The rock is solid and the climbs are good with not many people in sight.

Getting There

Park at the first pull out on your right after you pass the last parking lot for Echo Cove you will see the Eva Slab and 300 yards to your right up the hill you will see the pine tree.
