Description

This is a small, slabby buttress with a few short, decent climbs. The rock is typical high quality Cape Ann granite.

The mossy gully on the far right might offer some ice "bouldering" in season.

L->R:

A. Pipeline Face, 6, 1p, 25', TR.
B. Pipeline Flake, 8, 1p, 25', TR.

Getting There

This buttress is located in the Red Rock/ Mount Ann area. It's part of the same dispersed cliff band as Commander Salamander Crack and (eventually) Oz. You can reach it by following the rough but navigable path that follows along the ridge to Commander Salamander Crack and Pipeline Boulders. This will be the the among the first outcrops encountered.

I wouldn't call this a destination area in way, shape, or form, but if you are on your way to Oz and looking for something new. . . .

Awesome, Jim. There are a few of these little tid bits of short slabs in that area.
