Pinky Finger Extensor Injury - Can I keep climbing?

Disclaimer: I've never taken anatomy, I barely know the difference between tendons and ligaments, and I'm not sure "extensor" is even a word. Please go easy on me.

Yesterday, as I was pulling plastic, I reached to make a big move and I accidentally punched a hold on a different route. I mostly hit it with the back of my pinky and ring fingers. Both knuckles popped pretty loud, but it doesn't usually hurt me to just pop my knuckles. My pinky though... It now hurts whenever I lift it.

It doesn't hurt whatsoever to pull down with it - crimping feels just fine. Some pinches feel a little weird, but I wouldn't say they hurt. It really only hurts when I try to lift my finger like I'm drinking tea. The pain is mostly in and around my pinky knuckle, and I'd say it's relatively minor.

I've just heard lots of stories about ruining your fingers by training while they're injured. However, this doesn't seem to be affecting my finger flexors (is that the right word?) at all, so I'm hoping someone with more knowledge will post up and tell me I'm okay to keep at it.

Thanks!
Anson
